ABOUT THE FRANKFURT BOOK FAIR
The Frankfurt Book Fair returns in 2025 with fresh momentum, placing the Philippines center stage as Guest of Honour. Under the motto “The imagination peoples the air,” the Guest of Honour pavilion invites encounters with authors, translators, and publishers—spanning literature, comics, spoken word, and a strong emphasis on cultural dialogue.
Editorially, the fair sets clear accents. Children’s and YA publishing takes a prominent role, including the conference “Children’s Books in a Fragile World,” where industry voices will discuss resilience, diversity, and reading promotion. In parallel, audio remains a growth engine: audiobooks, podcasts, and new audio formats meet live showcases and practical talks.
For rights and licensing, the Frankfurt Rights Meeting concentrates expertise on AI workflows, digital licensing, books-to-screen, and developments in Spanish-language markets.
